I was tipped off earlier about this but refused to believe. The infamous “The Sound Underground” article in The Other Paper about the DIY scene in Columbus was recognized, sorta, by the Ohio Society of Professional Journalists.
“Newly promoted staff writer Kitty McConnell received runner-up honors in Best Arts Profile for her piece titled, ‘The Sound Underground,’ published last August, about DIY House Shows.”
